Participation DetailsThe franchisee, or one of its owners (if an entity), must faithfully, honestly, and diligently perform obligations. If an entity, a natural person owning or controlling at least 1/3 share must be the "Managing Owner" and provide direct, on-site supervision for the initial five-year term. After five years, a non-owner Designated General Manager may be appointed, but a Managing Owner must still supervise. The Managing Owner must serve as the Designated General Manager during the initial term and devote full-time efforts to the franchise after Year 1, with part-time work allowed in Year 1 (up to 20 hours/week, non-competing). Non-competing part-time work is allowed on weekday nights (after 5pm) and weekends after Year 1.
