Renewal ConditionsTo renew, the franchisee must provide advance notice, be in compliance with all contractual obligations, renovate to then-current standards, sign the then-current franchise agreement and related documents (including personal guaranty), and sign a general release (unless prohibited by law).

Transfer ConditionsTransfers require franchisor approval, payment of the transfer fee, the buyer meeting franchisor standards and not being a competitor, the buyer signing the then-current franchise agreement and related documents, all payments to the franchisor being current, the buyer completing training, the seller signing a general release, and the business complying with current system specifications (including remodel, if applicable).
Termination for CauseThe franchisor may terminate the agreement for cause, subject to applicable notice and cure opportunities. Causes include non-payment (10 days to cure), other curable defaults (30 days to cure), and non-curable defaults such as misrepresentation, false information, bankruptcy, loss of location, violation of confidentiality/non-compete/transfer restrictions, slander, refusal to cooperate with inspection, cessation of operations for more than 5 days, three defaults in 12 months, cross-termination, felony charge/conviction, acts affecting brand, repeated low health/brand inspection scores, or other non-curable breaches.

Non-Compete DetailsDuring the term, neither the franchisee, any owner, nor any spouse of an owner may have ownership interest in, lend money or provide financial assistance to, provide services to, or be employed by, any competitor. For two years after termination or expiration, the same restrictions apply within five miles of the former territory or any other Crave Cookies business operating on the date of termination.
